Launchie restores the ability to rearrange icons, create custom folders, and assign hotkeys for launching applications on macOS 26 Tahoe, features that were removed from the built‑in Launchpad. It offers a searchable grid where users can drag and drop apps into any order, group them in folders, and quickly access them via a configurable shortcut or hot‑corner activation. The interface includes options for modern “Liquid Glass” styling or a traditional sheet look, and supports backup and restore of the current layout.

The tool adds productivity‑focused utilities such as “Quick Close” to dismiss the launcher, “Hide Apps” to keep unused items out of view, and “Smart Lists” that surface recently used, most used, or newest applications. All settings are stored locally and can be restored on new devices, preserving a personalized workspace.
