Bike is a macOS‑only outliner that lets users capture ideas, take notes, and build structured documents. It supports headings, ordered and task lists, and other row types, providing a rich‑text editor that formats content precisely while keeping the outline hierarchy intact. The application displays live word counts and other statistics in a status bar, and offers distraction‑free modes such as full‑screen, typewriter, and focus views.

Designed for speed, Bike opens files, scrolls, and resizes windows quickly, handling large projects without slowing the system. Navigation is keyboard‑centric, with a focus‑heading view, breadcrumb trail, and inline buttons that create deep links which persist after renaming or moving files. The app integrates with existing workflows via standard shortcuts, scripting, and support for open formats like HTML‑based .bike, .opml, and .txt.

Bike also provides printing, QuickLook previews, and thumbnail generation, making outlines easy to share and review. It runs on macOS 11 or later and is distributed through SetApp and the Mac App Store.
