BloodHound
Six Degrees of Domain Admin
BloodHound analyzes Active Directory environments using graph theory to expose hidden relationships and potential attack paths. It collects data from domain controllers and other sources, builds a graph of objects such as users, groups, and computers, and then allows analysts to query the graph to identify privileged relationships that could be leveraged by an attacker. The tool is designed for security professionals who need to map and understand the structure of an AD domain in order to assess risk and prioritize remediation.
The legacy edition (version 4) is no longer maintained and will be archived; users are directed to the newer BloodHound Community Edition, which continues development under an open‑source GPL‑3 license. Documentation for the legacy version remains available online, and the project is supported by the BloodHound Enterprise team.
BloodHound is distributed as free software, permitting redistribution and modification under the GPL‑3 terms, and it runs on macOS as part of its core platform support.
