MACE

A native macOS application provides a visual workflow for building, customizing, auditing, and deploying security baselines based on the NIST macOS Security Compliance Project (mSCP) 2.0. It replaces command‑line scripting with an interface that lets users create projects, select frameworks, adjust rules, and generate configuration profiles and scripts for deployment.

The tool targets macOS security administrators, compliance officers, IT audit teams, and MDM administrators using solutions such as Jamf, Workspace ONE, or Intune. It supports two build engines—the built‑in engine and the official mSCP Python scripts—and can export MDM‑ready profiles as well as upload them directly to supported MDM platforms. All functionality is bundled in a single application, and the source code is freely available under an open‑source license.

Implemented with SwiftUI, the app offers a responsive experience on macOS 14 or newer. It includes project management dashboards, a wizard for new projects, and features for auditing Macs and generating compliance reports, aiming to simplify baseline creation without requiring scripting expertise.
