Brewy
Simple Homebrew GUI
Brewy provides a native macOS interface for Homebrew, allowing users to browse, search, install, and update both formulae and casks without using the command line. It displays installed packages, including pinned and leaf items, and offers detailed views of dependencies and reverse dependencies. Users can perform actions such as install, uninstall, upgrade, reinstall, pin, unpin, and batch‑upgrade outdated packages, as well as manage Homebrew services and custom groups.
The application integrates with the Mac App Store via the `mas` utility, enabling browsing of installed App Store apps and checking for updates. It also supports tap management with health monitoring, runs `brew doctor`, removes orphaned packages, and clears the download cache with dry‑run previews. A menu‑bar extra shows the count of outdated packages, and settings allow configuration of auto‑refresh intervals, brew path, and theme preferences.
Brewy runs on macOS 15.0 or later on Apple Silicon and can be installed through Homebrew or downloaded from GitHub releases. It includes auto‑updates via Sparkle and is released under the AGPL‑3.0‑only license.
