Chipmunk Log Analyzer & Viewer

Chipmunk is a desktop application for viewing and analyzing log files of any size without caching or copying, limited only by available disk space. It can open multi‑gigabyte logs instantly and also receive live data over TCP, UDP, serial ports, or from the output of a running command, allowing real‑time inspection of streams.

The tool includes built‑in support for automotive and network trace formats such as DLT and SomeIp, handling embedded attachments and media files, and can work with traces stored in pcap or pcapng containers. Users can define, save, and color‑code filter sets that update dynamically as new log entries arrive, providing continuous search results across sessions.

In addition to text search, Chipmunk offers a graphical module where regular expressions extract metrics that are plotted on live‑updating charts. Documentation covers usage, testing, and contribution guidelines, and the project is released under the Apache 2.0 license.
