It parses the document in the browser, sends only extracted text to an API, and returns a risk report that flags clauses commonly detrimental to freelancers, including uncapped liability, broad intellectual‑property grabs, auto‑renewal traps, kill fees, scope‑creep provisions, and missing protections like liability caps. Each flagged item is accompanied by a plain‑English explanation and a suggested replacement that can be copied back into the contract.

The tool offers a free tier allowing up to five scans per month without requiring a credit card, and it is available as Chrome and Edge extensions as well as a web interface. Pro features add one‑click drafting of negotiation emails, redlined Word documents with tracked changes, and a chat‑style interface for follow‑up questions about specific clauses. All processing is performed locally in the browser, and raw contract content is never stored or used to train models, ensuring privacy for sensitive legal documents.
