CommaFeed

Google Reader inspired self-hosted RSS reader.

A self‑hosted RSS reader built with Quarkus and React/TypeScript, offering a Google Reader‑style experience. It provides multiple layout options, light and dark themes, full responsiveness for mobile and desktop, and extensive keyboard shortcuts. The interface supports right‑to‑left languages, is translated into over twenty‑five languages, and can be customized with user‑provided CSS and JavaScript.

The service handles large user bases and feed collections, offering OPML import/export, a REST API, and a Fever‑compatible API for native mobile clients. Features include automatic read‑status rules, push notifications for new articles, and a browser extension. It runs on embedded H2 or external PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB databases, and can be deployed via Docker, native binaries, or JVM packages.

A public instance is available without ads or tracking, while the open‑source Apache‑2.0 code can be self‑hosted for free, with optional cloud hosting through partners. The project is stable and actively maintained.
