CookCLI

Full-featured recipe manager.

CookCLI is a command‑line toolkit for working with recipes written in the Cooklang markup language. It lets users create and view recipes, generate organized shopping lists from one or more files, and produce custom reports that evaluate menus or ingredient usage. The tool follows the UNIX philosophy, allowing its output to be piped into other scripts or utilities for automated meal planning.

In addition to CLI operations, CookCLI can run a lightweight web server that serves a browsable interface, making recipes accessible from any device with a browser. Features include recipe search, pantry tracking with expiration dates, and the ability to define weekly meal plans through menu files that reference recipes and inline ingredients.

The software is distributed as a binary, via Homebrew, or through Cargo, and is released under the MIT license. It is stable and intended for users who manage cooking workflows from the command line or need a simple web front‑end for their Cooklang collections.
