Decloner

Decloner scans folders on macOS to locate files that are identical in content, using SHA‑1 hashing and ignoring file names. It can process multiple directories simultaneously, including iPhoto and Aperture libraries, and presents duplicate groups for review. The application never removes files automatically; instead it stages selected items, allowing users to restore or move them to the Trash, and it retains scan results between sessions.

The interface offers basic navigation with drag‑and‑drop location addition, QuickLook previews, and Finder integration for locating files. Preferences let users exclude certain names, set a minimum file size, and control auto‑selection rules that rank duplicates by location and age.

Designed for macOS 10.6.8 and later on 64‑bit Intel hardware, Decloner provides progress indicators, elapsed and remaining time estimates, and a persistent staging area to support long scans. It supports all file types, including images, music, PDFs, documents, and archives.
