Emdash
UI for running multiple coding agents in parallel
Emdash provides a desktop environment for managing several coding agents at once, each operating in its own isolated Git worktree. The interface lets users launch agents in parallel, assign issues pulled from tools such as Linear, Jira, GitHub, or GitLab, and view their progress in a Kanban‑style dashboard. Agents receive full project context, and the app displays a built‑in diff view for reviewing changes, committing, and pushing code without leaving the UI.
The application supports remote development by connecting to machines over SSH, preserving the worktree isolation for agents running on external repositories. It automatically detects installed agent command‑line interfaces, allowing users to mix and match from a catalog of more than twenty supported agents, including popular models like Codex, Claude, and GitHub Copilot.
Emdash is an open‑source, macOS‑only product released under a stable maturity level. It is freely downloadable, with source code available on GitHub, and it emphasizes privacy by keeping user code local while offering optional API key integration for the chosen agents.
