Jiggler

Jiggler is a small macOS utility that periodically moves the cursor to prevent the system from entering sleep mode or activating the screensaver. It is intended for situations where a long‑running task—such as a download, backup, or media playback—needs the computer to stay awake without manually disabling power‑saving settings. The program runs in the background and can be started when the user wants the machine to remain active and quit when it is no longer needed.

The app offers configurable behavior: it can be set to wiggle the mouse only after a period of inactivity, only while the CPU is busy, when a CD/DVD is inserted, while iTunes is playing, or whenever a specific application is running. These options let users tailor the wake‑up logic to the particular workload they are performing.

Jiggler is distributed as freeware under the GNU General Public License, with source code available on GitHub. It is compatible with recent macOS releases, including version 26 (Tahoe), and includes minor fixes and localization updates in the latest 1.10 release.
