Utility that prevents the system from going to sleep

Visit

The program adds a small icon to the macOS menu bar that users can toggle to keep the computer awake. When activated, it prevents the system from automatically sleeping, dimming the display, or launching a screen saver; deactivating it restores the normal power‑management behavior. The icon can be clicked to switch the state or right‑clicked (⌘‑click) to access a brief menu.

It is intended for macOS users who need to keep their machine active for tasks such as presentations, downloads, or long‑running processes without altering system settings manually. The utility is lightweight, requiring only the menu‑bar icon and a simple toggle mechanism.

Originally created by Tomas Franzén in 2006, the source code has been released under an open‑source license and is now maintained by IntelliScape Solutions. The software runs on macOS Big Sur or later, including macOS Tahoe 26, and remains stable despite the privacy changes introduced in later macOS releases.
