Larabox supplies a ready‑to‑use local development environment for Windows that bundles native binaries for Nginx, PHP, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Node.js, Redis, Meilisearch and a local SMTP server. It avoids Docker or WSL, providing a pre‑configured terminal where commands such as php, mysql and composer are globally available. Projects placed in the www folder are automatically served on .test domains with instant, one‑click SSL certificates generated by mkcert. The stack includes a PHP manager supporting versions 7.3 through 8.5, side‑by‑side installations, and OPcache optimization, as well as tools for one‑click database backups, Redis cache, and a web UI for database administration via Adminer. Additional features comprise a native task scheduler for recurring Artisan or shell commands, a Pro Admin Hub for site and server control, and automatic delta updates to the application and its services.
