Leanote

Open source cloud notepad

Leanote Desktop is an Electron‑based client that provides a graphical interface for the open‑source Leanote cloud notepad service. It runs on macOS and connects to the Leanote server, allowing users to create, edit, and organize notes locally while synchronizing with the cloud backend. The application includes standard editing capabilities and supports the formatting defined by the Leanote platform.

The project targets users who need a cross‑platform, self‑hosted note‑taking solution and prefer a desktop experience over a web browser. Developers can build or modify the app by installing Electron v12.0.2, running npm to install dependencies, processing styles with gulp, and launching the program with the electron command. Documentation and community support are available via the project's wiki and Gitter channel.

Leanote Desktop is released under the GNU General Public License version 2, allowing free redistribution and modification. The source code and build instructions are hosted on GitHub, and binary releases can be downloaded from the official Leanote web site.
