Live Home 3D

Live Home 3D provides a macOS‑only environment for creating 2D floor plans and visualizing them in a fully interactive 3D view. Users can draw new plans or trace existing layouts, then switch to a three‑dimensional mode where walls, roofs, and terrain are rendered with realistic lighting that can be adjusted by time of day and geolocation.

The application includes a library of roughly 2,400 furniture models and 2,100 material definitions, all of which can be dragged onto the scene, edited, or combined to form new textures. Additional in‑app packs expand the catalog, and external objects may be imported in common 3D formats such as FBX, OBJ, 3DS, and COLLADA, or fetched from the Trimble 3D Warehouse.

Export options cover high‑resolution snapshots, 360° panoramas, and video walkthroughs, as well as floor‑plan images in standard raster formats. 3D models can be saved in a variety of exchange formats, and the software allows unlimited rendering without extra cost, targeting both hobbyists and professional designers who need a complete, native macOS design workflow.
