LyricGlow

LyricGlow is a macOS application that displays song lyrics in real time, highlighting each word as it is sung. It works with Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and any other macOS music player, automatically synchronizing the display with the playback position. The interface offers a full‑screen modal view, a compact floating widget, and a menu‑bar lyric display, with support for dark and light modes, RTL languages, and an always‑on‑top window.

The software is built with Electron and TypeScript, targeting macOS 11.0+ on both Apple Silicon and Intel architectures. It provides features such as a progress‑bar seek, 7‑day intelligent caching, OAuth integration for Spotify, and a menu‑bar live lyrics view. Users can customize settings, toggle the window with a shortcut, and interact with album art to open the track in Spotify.

LyricGlow is open‑source, released under an MIT‑compatible license, and distributed as a free tier DMG. Installation is possible via a one‑line script or manual download from the GitHub releases page. Development scripts support hot‑reload, TypeScript compilation, and DMG packaging.
