Mochi
Study notes and flashcards using spaced repetition
Mochi lets users create study notes and flashcards in Markdown and then review them with a spaced‑repetition algorithm that schedules smart review sessions. The app stores all data locally on the device and synchronises when an internet connection is available, providing a “local first” experience across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. Built‑in dictionaries, automatic translation, text‑to‑speech and image search support language learning, while tags, filters, references and backlinks help organize and connect ideas.
The interface is designed for quick note‑taking, allowing headings, lists, code blocks and media to be added easily. Users can generate example sentences or study prompts with integrated AI, and the system can auto‑translate card content between languages. Flashcards can be enriched with spoken audio and visual images to aid recall.
Mochi targets learners who need a unified tool for note‑taking, vocabulary building, and long‑term knowledge retention, from language enthusiasts to university students and professors. Its emphasis on Markdown, local storage and a single‑window workflow distinguishes it from other spaced‑repetition applications.
