Movie Catcher

Movie Catcher aggregates popular online resources to let users search for movies and TV series by title, then retrieve download links or stream the content directly via cloud storage. It automates the process of locating files, extracting the real download URL from a cloud service, and optionally initiating an offline download without requiring a separate client for each source. The application currently supports three core actions—search, offline download, and online playback—and plans to expand its resource coverage over time.

The software runs on macOS (10.10 or newer) and Windows 7 SP1 or newer (64‑bit only) and is built with Python 2.7.10, using Pillow and Selenium, with Chrome v59‑61 needed for web automation. Users can download pre‑compiled binaries or compile the program themselves from the source code provided on GitHub, which includes a PyInstaller spec file for custom builds.

Movie Catcher is open‑source and offered under a free tier, targeting individuals who want a streamlined, script‑driven way to locate and obtain streaming or downloadable media without manually navigating multiple sites.
