MyMedia

MyMedia is a macOS application built with SwiftUI that lets users browse and watch their locally stored movies and TV shows. It reads metadata embedded in the media files, displaying artwork, titles, and other details, and offers a simple player or the ability to open files with the system’s default player. Users can track which items have been watched, pin or favorite media, and organize content into collections and genre categories.

The app supports English and German language interfaces and provides basic library management such as importing files and viewing episode details. It is distributed as an open‑source MIT‑licensed project, available via Homebrew or manual download, and requires macOS 15 or newer.

Future enhancements listed in the roadmap include library‑wide search, a recent‑items view, expanded file‑type support, and improved artwork handling. The project welcomes contributions and follows a stable release cycle.
