NitroShare
Cross-platform network file transfer utility.
NitroShare enables users to transfer files between computers on the same local network without requiring manual configuration. It discovers other installations through broadcast messages, allowing a user to select a destination device and send any file with a few clicks. The application is built to exploit fast network links, reaching gigabit transfer rates when the hardware supports it.
The software runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, so files can be moved across different operating systems seamlessly. It is written in modern C++ using the Qt framework, and the complete source code is released under the MIT license, making it freely available for modification and redistribution.
Installation packages are provided for a wide range of Linux distributions, including Debian‑based systems, Fedora, and Arch Linux, as well as binary installers for Windows and macOS. Users need to install the desktop client on each device that will participate in file transfers.
