PairPods
Share audio between two Bluetooth devices
PairPods enables a macOS user to route audio output to multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously. After pairing the desired headphones, earbuds, or speakers in the system Bluetooth settings, the app lets the user select a master clock device, adjust each device’s volume independently, and toggle which devices receive the audio stream. The interface lives in the menu bar, showing sample‑rate and battery information for each connected device and automatically reconnecting if a device drops out.
The software is aimed at people who want to share music, movies, or other audio content with friends or family without sacrificing sound quality. It supports any Bluetooth device that macOS can recognize, allowing combinations such as AirPods with Samsung Buds or a Bluetooth speaker and headphones at the same time.
Implemented as a free, open‑source macOS application, PairPods runs on macOS 13.5 or later and can be installed via Homebrew or a direct download. Its core functionality focuses on simple, click‑based audio sharing with per‑device controls and automatic reconnection.
