Pasteboard Viewer

Pasteboard Viewer is a developer‑focused utility that displays the contents of the system pasteboards on macOS, iOS, and visionOS. It updates live, showing previews for text, RTF, images, and any data that supports Quick Look, and it filters out deprecated pasteboard types in favor of their modern equivalents. The interface lets users navigate items with arrow keys and copy type identifiers via right‑click or long‑tap.

The tool is intended for programmers who need to verify that their applications are placing the correct data on NSPasteboard or UIPasteboard. It offers a “Stay in Front” window option on macOS and does not function as a general clipboard manager, making it unsuitable for non‑technical users.

Pasteboard Viewer is open‑source and freely available, with stable releases distributed through the Mac App Store and a non‑App‑Store bundle for environments without store access. Older macOS versions are supported through archived releases.
