PicView

PicView is a picture viewer for Windows 10/11 and macOS that emphasizes speed and a minimal interface. It opens a wide range of image formats, including animated WEBP and GIF, SVG, AVIF, HEIC, PSD and many others, and can display EXIF metadata such as date, GPS location and camera settings. The program offers built‑in tools for lossless compression, batch resizing, thumbnail generation and simple image effects, with a slider to adjust intensity.

The viewer can browse images stored inside archive files like ZIP, RAR, CBR and 7z, provided a compatible archive utility is installed, and it supports comic‑book style navigation. Users can toggle a dark or light theme, hide the UI entirely, or keep a compact gallery panel, and the interface can be customized through a settings window. PicView is available in both portable and installable forms, requires no external libraries, and does not write to the system registry.
