Postbird

Postbird provides a graphical interface for interacting with PostgreSQL databases. It lets users connect to a server, browse tables, view and edit data, and inspect table schemas through a visual layout. The client is built with JavaScript and runs on Electron, offering a consistent experience across operating systems.

The application targets developers, database administrators, and anyone who works with PostgreSQL and prefers a desktop GUI over command‑line tools. It is distributed as a native macOS DMG, Windows installer, and Linux packages (deb, rpm, snap, AppImage, pacman, and APK), and the source can be built locally with Yarn.

Being open source, Postbird welcomes contributions via pull requests and provides a contribution guide. The project is maintained with continuous integration services and relies on community donations to support further development and release cadence.
