Printopia

Printopia runs on a macOS computer and makes any locally attached printer available to iOS devices via AirPrint. When the software is active, iPads and iPhones can discover the shared printers automatically and use the built‑in iOS printing interface without installing a separate mobile app. The solution supports up to five physical printers and works with macOS 10.9 or later, including native support on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, as well as iOS 4.2 and later, including iOS 17 and the newest iPhone models.

The application handles print job preparation automatically, offering scaling, margin detection, and other adjustments to ensure correct output. It also provides options such as paper size, color mode, print quality, stapling, and any other capabilities exposed by the printer driver. Additional utilities let users send files directly to Dropbox or transfer screenshots from the iOS device to the Mac in PNG format.

Printopia can operate continuously, even when no user is logged into the Mac, and includes a free seven‑day demo. A Pro edition is available for larger or enterprise environments, while discounted pricing is offered to educational institutions.
