Quicksilver

Quicksilver is a macOS‑only application that lets users launch programs, open files, and invoke bookmarks entirely from the keyboard, aiming to reduce mouse reliance and speed up routine tasks. It supports a range of built‑in actions such as moving, copying, emailing, compressing files, controlling media playback, and performing calculations, while also offering specialized functions for mail, calendar, reminders, emoji insertion, and basic image manipulation.

The tool learns from a user’s habits, presenting frequently used items and actions contextually, and allows custom triggers through keyboard shortcuts or mouse gestures for instant execution. Its interface can be themed and switched among several styles to match personal workflow preferences.

Functionality is expanded via a plugin ecosystem that integrates with popular browsers, email clients, and other applications, making it possible to add new actions or services without leaving the keyboard‑centric environment.
