Roundup Issue Tracker
Simple-to-use and -install issue tracking system with command-line, web, REST, XML-RPC, and e-mail interfaces. Designed with flexibility in mind - not just another bug tracker.
Roundup provides a self‑hosted issue‑tracking system that can be accessed through a web interface, command‑line client, REST API, XML‑RPC, or e‑mail. It is built on a design that won the Software Carpentry “Track” competition and runs on Python 3.7+ (Python 2 support ended with version 2.4.0). The stable 2.5.0 release adds fixes for an XSS vulnerability, improves advanced search expression handling, and upgrades password hashing to PBKDF2‑SHA512, while also enhancing session‑cookie security and database‑level authorization for faster page rendering.
The software targets teams and individuals who need a lightweight, customizable tracker without subscription fees. Users can modify the look and feel, define custom workflows, and extend functionality through the provided interfaces. Documentation includes guidance for upgrading existing trackers and configuring security features.
Roundup is released under the MIT license, is free to use, and is distributed as open‑source code, allowing anyone to host and adapt it to their specific workflow requirements.
