ScummVM

ScummVM is a compatibility layer that lets users run a wide range of classic graphical adventure and role‑playing games on modern hardware. By replacing the original game executables with its own rewritten code, it enables the games to operate on platforms for which they were never intended, while requiring only the original data files supplied with the titles.

The project supports an extensive library of more than 325 games, including well‑known series such as Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Myst, Blade Runner, and titles from studios like LucasArts, Sierra On‑Line, Revolution Software, Cyan, and Westwood Studios. Compatibility information for each game is provided on the project’s website, and new games are added continually.

ScummVM runs on a broad array of operating systems and devices, including Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, various game consoles, and legacy platforms such as AmigaOS and RISC OS. Development is ongoing, with community support available through forums and a Discord server, and contributions are welcomed via code or donations.
