Silkwave Voice

Silkwave Voice lets macOS users capture audio from the microphone, system output, or both at the same time, making it suitable for recording Zoom calls, Google Meet sessions, YouTube videos, lectures, and podcasts without needing external loopback drivers. The app can transcribe the recorded speech in real‑time using Apple’s on‑device speech‑to‑text models, supporting more than ten languages including English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese and Cantonese, while keeping all audio data local to the Mac.

In addition to transcription, the software can generate structured summaries of the content through a ChatGPT integration that runs via Apple Intelligence. Summaries include key topics, action items and decisions, and are optional, with user confirmation required before any data is sent. The tool provides quick access from the menu bar, allowing users to start, pause, or switch audio sources and languages without opening the main window.

Search functionality indexes titles, transcripts and summaries, enabling keyword‑based lookup across all recordings. A dark theme is available to match system appearance and reduce eye strain. The application requires macOS 26 or later and is distributed through the Mac App Store.
