Sol

Sol is an open‑source macOS utility that provides a fast, native launcher and command palette. It lets users locate and open applications with a single keystroke, while also offering a range of built‑in actions such as translating text, creating calendar events, and retrieving system information like Wi‑Fi passwords or IP addresses. The interface integrates with the menu bar, showing upcoming appointments and allowing quick theme switches.

The tool includes a collection of productivity helpers: a clipboard manager, notes scratchpad, emoji picker, and utilities for generating identifiers, UUIDs, lorem‑ipsum text, and formatted JSON. Users can define custom shortcuts, AppleScript commands, and links, as well as import browser bookmarks for rapid access. Additional features cover window management, media‑key forwarding to Spotify or Apple Music, process termination, and a script runner.

Designed for minimal configuration, Sol can be installed via Homebrew or downloaded from its releases page. Development targets macOS with React Native, and contributions follow the MIT license.
