TableFlip
Edit plain text tables in place: Markdown, CSV, JSON. LaTeX and HTML export
TableFlip is a macOS‑only editor that lets users modify plain‑text tables directly within Markdown, CSV, or JSON files. Changes are applied in place, so the source document updates automatically as the table is edited. The app supports auto‑growing tables, allowing users to add rows and columns simply by tabbing through cells without manual resizing.
It is aimed at writers, developers, and anyone who stores tabular data in text formats but prefers a lightweight alternative to full spreadsheet programs. Integration with Marked 2 provides live previews, and the tool can export tables to LaTeX and HTML via the clipboard, with additional formats such as Word, Excel, and Numbers planned for future support.
Distinctive features include fast startup, a visual editor that works on existing Markdown files, and seamless import/export of CSV and JSON snippets. The application runs on macOS 10.15 and newer, and is positioned as a stable, focused solution for quick table creation and editing.
