Tock

Powerful time tracking tool.

Source

Tock records work sessions from the command line, storing each entry as plain‑text in a configurable backend such as flat files, TodoTXT, TimeWarrior, or SQLite. Users can attach notes and tags to activities, and the tool can read and write compatible formats from Bartib, TodoTXT, and TimeWarrior, making migration straightforward.

An interactive terminal UI built with Bubble Tea displays a calendar view of logged time, while customizable color themes let users adjust the appearance. Reports can be exported in text, CSV, JSON, or iCal formats, enabling integration with external calendars on macOS.

The program is distributed as a single, dependency‑free binary and can be installed via Homebrew, Go, a shell script, or direct download. Its command set includes start, stop, and continue actions with optional flags for project, description, time, notes, and tags, supporting both quick one‑liner usage and detailed interactive sessions.
