TransmitFlow

TransmitFlow enables direct peer‑to‑peer file sharing through WebRTC data channels, eliminating the need for cloud storage, user accounts, or intermediate uploads. Users select files in a browser, generate a short room code or QR, and the recipient enters that code to establish a direct, encrypted connection. The transfer occurs entirely between the two devices, with DTLS encryption protecting the data in transit.

The service is designed for any modern browser on any device, requiring no installation and supporting files of any type and size. Adaptive chunking optimizes throughput, and the system works offline once an internet connection is re‑established for the initial signaling. Because no server handles the file contents, the solution offers total privacy and leaves no trace on external services.

TransmitFlow is open source, allowing anyone to inspect, modify, or host the code themselves. Its minimalistic workflow—choose files, share a code, and transfer—targets users who need quick, private transfers without the overhead of traditional cloud‑based services.
