Traq
Project management and issue tracking system written in PHP.
Traq provides a self‑hosted environment for tracking issues, milestones, and sprints across multiple projects. It runs on PHP 8.3+ with a MariaDB or MySQL backend and requires a web server capable of rewriting URLs to index.php. After uploading the source, the installation wizard guides users through database setup and configuration, after which the built‑in dashboard can be used to create projects, assign tickets, and organize work into milestones or agile sprints.
The system includes granular per‑project permissions, custom fields for tickets and tasks, and a Markdown‑powered wiki for documentation. An extensible API and plugin architecture allow integration with external tools and addition of new features. All components are released under the GPL‑3.0 license, and the codebase is openly hosted on GitHub for community contributions.
Traq targets developers and teams that need a free, open‑source alternative to cloud‑based trackers and want full control over their data and deployment. Its PHP foundation makes it straightforward to install on typical LAMP stacks, and the provided build steps compile the modern UI from Node‑based assets.
