Trayce
Lightweight tool to monitor Docker container traffic with a built-in .bru HTTP client.
Trayce provides a desktop API client and a Docker network monitor in a single lightweight application. Its UI is built without browser‑rendered graphics, offering an offline‑only, git‑friendly file format that stores collections in the bruno‑lang syntax, allowing seamless interoperability with the Bruno tool. The client supports HTTP, GraphQL, authentication, JavaScript scripting, variable and secret management, and includes features such as OpenAPI import, collection running, and data‑driven report generation.
For Docker development, Trayce runs a companion container (TrayceAgent) that uses eBPF probes to capture traffic from local containers without any proxy or CA configuration. It displays requests for HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/2, gRPC, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, including TLS‑encrypted payloads, and presents them in a network tab for debugging and testing. The monitoring is intended for backend developers, QA engineers, and testers working on local Docker environments, not for production observability.
The project is open source, free, and released under a stable maturity level, with binaries available for macOS and Linux and source builds for other platforms.
