Tyk provides a self‑hosted, open‑source API gateway that supports REST, GraphQL, TCP and gRPC protocols. It includes built‑in capabilities for rate limiting, authentication, analytics, and microservice patterns, allowing organizations to manage and monitor API traffic without additional proprietary extensions. The gateway runs natively on Kubernetes via the Tyk Kubernetes Operator and can also be deployed with Docker‑compose for quick start‑ups.
