UTCMenuClock
Menu bar clock
UTCMenuClock is a lightweight macOS menu‑bar utility that continuously displays Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) alongside the system clock. It presents the time using monospaced digits for stable alignment and offers optional displays such as 24‑hour or 12‑hour format, seconds, date, Julian day, and a timezone suffix. Users can switch the menu‑bar text to an ISO‑8601 representation and copy the current UTC timestamp, in any selected format, to the clipboard.
The app targets operations teams, distributed work environments, aviation, astronomy, and anyone who needs a reliable UTC reference without leaving the menu bar. It includes a built‑in “Open at Login” toggle, and the menu provides quick actions for copying the time, toggling display options, and quitting the application.
UTCMenuClock is distributed as an unsigned universal binary for macOS 15+ and can also be built from source with Xcode 16. It is released under the Apache License 2.0 and maintained by John Adams, with launch‑at‑login support contributed by Ben Clark‑Robinson.
