VibeProxy
Menu bar app for using AI subscriptions with coding tools
VibeProxy is a native macOS menu‑bar utility that runs a local proxy server for AI‑powered coding tools. It lets users connect existing subscriptions for services such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, Kimi, Qwen, Antigravity, and Z.AI GLM, handling OAuth flows, API keys, token refresh and routing automatically. The app provides a SwiftUI interface for starting and stopping the server, managing multiple accounts per provider, and selecting which models are available, with real‑time status indicators.
The proxy is designed for integration with coding assistants like Factory Droids and Amp CLI, allowing those tools to call the configured AI back without exposing credentials directly. It also supports routing Claude requests through the Vercel AI Gateway for added safety, and includes automatic updates via Sparkle. All components are bundled inside the .app, requiring only macOS 13+ to run.
Typical users are developers who already have paid AI subscriptions and want a seamless way to share those credentials with local development tools, avoiding duplicate billing and manual token handling. The app’s multi‑account round‑robin distribution and provider prioritisation help maintain reliable access when rate limits are encountered.
