Volume Control
Control the volume of Apple Music and Spotify using keyboard volume keys
The application intercepts the standard volume‑up and volume‑down keys on macOS and redirects them to the active music player instead of the system volume. When Apple Music, Spotify, Doppler, or Swinsian (3.0+) is playing, the keys adjust that app’s volume; otherwise they affect the system. The behavior can be inverted with the Command key or disabled via a “Use ⌘ modifier” option, and the step size is configurable. An optional HUD overlay can be hidden to avoid visual interruptions.
It is targeted at macOS users who listen through AirPlay devices or external speakers, where the system volume does not control playback volume. The app restores fine‑grained, keyboard‑driven volume control for the supported music players without requiring additional software or terminal commands. It runs on Ventura (13.5) and later, supporting both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, and requires Accessibility and Automation permissions to manipulate the target applications.
