Wallabag

Wallabag, formerly Poche, is a web application allowing you to save articles to read them later with improved readability.

It lets users save web pages for later reading by extracting only the main article content, removing ads, pop‑ups and other distractions. The extracted text is presented in a clean, comfortable view and can be organized with tags or categories. Users can import existing collections from services such as Pocket, Readability, Instapaper or Pinboard, and the application offers an API for developers to integrate it with other tools.

The software is self‑hostable and runs on a personal server, but a hosted option is also available. It is open source under the MIT license, multilingual, and maintained by a community of contributors. Installation is performed via a simple Git clone and make command, with additional documentation covering requirements and alternative deployment methods.

Clients exist for Android, iOS, desktop browsers through extensions, and many RSS readers support wallabag, allowing articles to be saved on one device and read on another, including e‑readers. The project emphasizes privacy, control over data, and extensibility through its ecosystem of apps and integrations.
