YoNTMA runs as a status‑bar icon on macOS laptops that use FileVault encryption. When the machine is unplugged from AC power or wired Ethernet while the screen is locked, the utility automatically places the system into hibernate. By doing so it clears encryption keys from memory, reducing the risk of DMA and cold‑boot attacks that could expose encrypted data while the computer remains powered on.

The tool is designed for users who need additional protection for sensitive data on portable Macs. It checks that required power‑management settings are configured, offers to adjust them with administrator credentials, and provides guidance for enabling FileVault if it is not already active. Preferences allow enabling or disabling the feature, starting at login, and accessing debugging information.

YoNTMA is distributed as a signed DMG installer, has no external dependencies, and builds with Xcode. It is offered free of charge, with the usual “as is” disclaimer and no formal support.
