AutoMounterHelper

The AutoMounter Helper application works alongside the Mac App Store version of AutoMounter to enable mounting of network shares not only in the standard /Volumes directory but also in user‑defined locations. After downloading the disk image and launching the helper app, it integrates with macOS to perform the mount operation, handling the necessary system permissions and dialogs.

The helper supports macOS 12 and later, with a separate build available for older macOS 10.12–12.0 systems. Recent updates add compatibility with newer mount restrictions introduced in macOS 26.4+, ensuring that the system confirmation dialog appears when mounting outside /Volumes and preventing “Permission Denied” errors that occurred with earlier releases. Localization is provided for Danish, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), and Swedish.

Uninstallation is performed by reopening the disk image and selecting the Uninstall option within the helper app, which removes the component from the system. The software is marked as stable and targeted at users who need flexible mount points for network shares on macOS.
