BatFi is a native macOS utility that controls how and Mac’s lithium‑ion battery is charged. Users set a charge‑limit threshold—defaulting to 80 %—and the app automatically stops charging when the battery reaches that level while the machine is plugged in, helping to reduce wear from prolonged high‑state‑of‑charge periods. A menu‑bar command lets the user override the limit and charge to 100 % on demand for tasks that require full capacity.

The software runs in the background from launch, monitors battery percentage, and issues notifications when the charging mode changes, keeping the user aware of the current status. It is lightweight, requires a license, and supports macOS Ventura or newer on Apple‑silicon Macs.
