Claudoscope

Browse, search & track costs across Claude Code sessions

Visit

Claudoscope is a native macOS menu‑bar application that reads Claude Code project files from the local ~/.claude/projects/ directory and presents them in an interactive viewer. It monitors the folder with macOS file‑system events, allowing near‑real‑time updates of session history, token usage, and configuration changes without polling or external services.

The tool aggregates token counts for inputs, outputs, and cache, maps them to Anthropic or Vertex AI pricing, and visualizes spending patterns over time. It also runs a set of lint rules on CLAUDE.md files, skills, and hooks, and performs entropy‑based scans to detect leaked API keys, tokens, or other credentials. Alerts appear as floating notifications when potential secrets are found.

All analysis is performed locally; no telemetry, network requests, or server components are involved. Users can browse installed skills, inspect MCP server arguments, and view configuration details such as permissions, memory settings, and custom commands through a browsable interface. The application is distributed as a free, open‑source macOS app installable via Homebrew or a direct DMG download.
