Doza Assist
Open-source local AI that learns how you edit video
Doza Assist is a local‑first AI assistant designed for editors working with documentary, podcast, testimonial and other spoken‑word footage. It runs entirely on macOS, transcribing uploaded interview clips on the machine and identifying the narrative beats that drive each scene. Users can ask natural‑language questions—such as the emotional arc of an interview or the strongest opening hook—and receive answers that include the supporting clips.
The tool builds rough narrative sequences in the editor’s own style, learning from previously supplied projects. As more work is processed, the AI adapts to the user’s editorial voice, eventually proposing cuts that resemble a long‑time colleague. Completed story outlines can be exported directly into Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve.
All processing, data and any learned style profile remain on the user’s computer; no cloud services, accounts or subscriptions are required. The software is released under an open‑source license, allowing anyone to inspect, modify or contribute to the code.
