Feedy
An elegant and lightweight RSS client and news reader for your Mac.
Feedy presents RSS feeds as a single, clutter‑free stream on macOS, allowing users to read full‑length articles directly within the app. It automatically selects an optimal reading mode for each piece, with optional per‑feed customization, and supports Retina graphics, favorites, and search across all subscribed feeds or organized folders.
The client rates each item by counting how many times the article has been mentioned on Twitter, using this popularity metric to surface the most noteworthy stories. It also boosts items from infrequently updated feeds so rare posts from small blogs are not overlooked. Users can filter feeds to show only top‑rated items, highlight stories that match personal keywords, and receive macOS notifications or a glowing menu‑bar icon when new content arrives.
Version 2.0 adds free usage, an improved popularity algorithm displayed graphically, OPML import/export, status labels for the update times, and automatic marking of stories as read when scrolled into view. The app is positioned for Mac users who want a lightweight, rating‑driven news reader with minimal visual clutter.
