Raven Reader is a desktop news aggregation application for macOS that gathers articles from user‑selected websites and RSS feeds into a single interface. It operates without requiring a login and does not collect personal data, focusing on a privacy‑first experience. Users can add feeds, organize them into unlimited categories, and read content offline after saving articles locally.

The interface emphasizes a clean, distraction‑free layout, stripping ads, banners, and complex page elements from the original articles. Appearance can be customized through selectable themes, adjustable fonts, and configurable display options, allowing each user to tailor the reading environment to personal preferences.

Raven Reader also supports synchronization with external cloud‑based RSS services such as Feedbin, Inoreader, and self‑hosted readers that implement the Google Reader API.
