Fluent Reader
RSS/Atom news aggregator
Fluent Reader is a local, cross‑platform desktop application for aggregating RSS and Atom feeds. It can synchronize subscriptions with services such as Inoreader, Feedbin, or any platform compatible with the Fever or Google Reader APIs, and it also supports importing feeds from OPML files for purely offline use. Users can organize feeds into groups, back up their data, and move the collection between computers.
The reader presents articles in a built‑in view that can display full‑text content using Mercury Parser, load the original webpage, or open the link externally. It offers regular‑expression‑based search across titles and article bodies, and lets users mark items as starred, hidden, or unread, with custom filtering rules applied as new items arrive.
Privacy is emphasized: all data remains on the user’s device, cookies are cleared on exit, XSS protection runs in an isolated context, and no personal information is collected. The app enforces a strict content‑security policy, supports proxy configuration via PAC files, and includes full system‑level dark‑mode rendering for both the interface and reading view.
