Flow provides FTP and SFTP file transfer capabilities on macOS, emphasizing speed and reliability. It supports copying and opening remote file URLs with a single click, automatically placing upload URLs on the clipboard, and offers a “Droplet” feature that lets users upload files by dragging them onto a small helper application, displaying progress only while the transfer occurs.

The client integrates with external text editors such as TextMate and includes a built‑in editor that offers tabs, syntax highlighting, code completion, and a live web preview; saving a file triggers an immediate upload to the server. QuickLook support allows users to preview images, HTML, PDFs, and other documents directly from the file list without opening them.
